NETS Electronic Evidence Presentation

Innovative NETS Service Saves You Time, Cash

Exciting news about a great way to use NETS Electronic Evidence Presentation technology in your practice

Recently we worked with some distinguished attorneys and retired judges who were attempting to reach an agreement in a civil matter. Both the Plaintiff and Defense had many complex issues to present with quite a number of photographs, documents, deposition testimony and videos. The case had originally been scheduled for trial in Superior Court, and once a date had been set the Counsel for the Plaintiff asked for NETS' assistance in presenting his case. We had worked together many years ago on a well known trial and he had been waiting for another case that was “big enough” to warrant a higher level of technology than he normally would use. He went further to suggest and recommend that Defense Counsel also use the technology and that both parties share the expense; split the bill as it were. Defense Counsel was very interested in this and NETS prepared the case databases for both sides.

On the eve of the trial the parties agreed to a mediation session and NETS presented the evidence at the proceeding. We showed the photos and videos, displayed documents blowing up and highlighting the relevant text and searching through all the transcripts for important deposition testimony. Best of all the entire case was presented easily and affordably for both sides!

After Mediation the case went to a five day Arbitration session we kept the sessions moving at a brisk pace because we did not have to hunt through boxes of papers and photos, or cue up and play dozens of videotapes.

With every piece of evidence in the case in the NETS database we could search through the equivalent of a dozen boxes of paper, locate and highlight key statements with just a few strokes of the keys. We zoomed in on a corner of a picture and underlined significant bits of text. Segments of videos depositions were edited and instantly shown the document the testimony was referencing. It was awesome!

All the parties agreed that this was a very efficient way to present evidence. We had instant access to every scrap of paper and the capability to turn it into a chalk. NETS saved both sides time and money because this really was a civil matter.
